āSports have always been a part of my lifeā - starts every pilates trainerās CV ⦠but not mine. Pilates became a part of my life completely coincidentally. My background is in media and broadcasting: . Iām a TV presenter, an all-around content creator, and a former university lecturer in media. However, back in 2020 I went through a mental crisis with lots of uncertainties in my life. To help with exercise, one day I visited a reformer class out of curiosity. Just like most men, I thought pilates was a female sport, but I quickly learned that I couldnāt be more wrong.
My first class was extremely challenging, exhausting and revealing. It had such a beneficial effect on my mental health that I became a fan and addict: I started to attend classes 4-5 times per week. While my mental health improved a lot, my body started to transform for the better, too.
I started my instructor training 1.5 years later and have been teaching since 2022. I learned the classic (PMA) method, which I elevated to todayās expectations.f course, Iām also adding my personality to each class :-)
Pilates helps to strengthen deep muscles, improve posture, and provide a better sense of well-being. Regardless of age or gender, it is recommended for everyone who wants to take care of their health.

Get your sport socks (or even better, your grip socks!), wear comfortable clothes and have a small towel in arms reach :) You might need your bottle too!
We start with a short warm up, then we we exercise different muscle groups while having great vibes, then we close the session with a set of cooldown and stretch exercises.

Imi's classes brought regular exercise into my life. He is a trained instructor who knows exactly how to motivate. His classes have the perfect balance between challenge and fun. His training has put me in the best shape I've ever been in.
I honestly admit that since Imi left Budapest, I stopped doing Pilates. It's like when a child's favourite subject at school is math because Ms. Smith explains everything in such a special, yet comprehensible way. So for me, Imi is that teacher - the best teacher. Once we live in the same city again, I will continue doing Pilates.
I have been looking for a reformer Pilates class for a long time - where I can feel that I am able to push my limits, while the class is also enjoyable. In Imi's sessions, everything was a given. I didnāt mind that the studio was on the other side of Budapest. In fact, I was happy to get up even at 5 a.m. to join his morning class.
I sit hours in the tour bus then I move intensely on stage. I've been injured several times. I loved Imi's classes because he focused on rehabilitation and strengthening the deep muscles.The positive energy that came from his personality was motivating. It recharged both my body and soul. And the many laughs we had together were like therapy for me.
From the very first minute, he watched and corrected every move of mine. He pushed me on my good days. He was a gentle but tough coach on my bad days. Imi's cheerfulness, personality and (of course) hard classes created a great community. We fought hard in an amazingly good mood - both on the Reformer, and for open class spots.
Imi invited me to a reformer class 1 year ago and he won me over immediately. Due to the relaxed atmosphere and Imi's attentive coaching attitude, I looked forward to every training session. I think Imi is the only instructor who calls each guest by name at least once in every class. It's a small thing, but one more reason to miss Imi so much.
